Bengaluru: Police have arrested 11 individuals in connection with the alleged assault on Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) officials during an anti-encroachment drive in Shivajinagar, authorities said on Tuesday.
The arrests were made within the jurisdiction of the Commercial Street Police Station, following swift action against those allegedly involved in the incident.

According to police, legal action has been initiated against those accused of attacking government officials while they were carrying out their official duties during the encroachment removal operation.
The authorities said the investigation is continuing and further action will be taken based on the findings.
Police warn against attacking public servants
Police reiterated that assaulting a government official while discharging official responsibilities is a serious punishable offence under the law.
Officials urged the public to respect the law and cooperate with civic authorities and law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and public order during enforcement drives.
The incident had sparked widespread concern after GBA officials were allegedly attacked while conducting an anti-encroachment operation in Shivajinagar.
Authorities have indicated that strict legal action will continue against anyone found obstructing or assaulting public servants in the course of their duties.
