Honouring Women with Exceptional Multitasking Skills
Team Abhaya – Rape-Free India Movement, a people’s initiative driven by common citizens of India, is back with another meaningful award ceremony — the Abhaya Dasabhuja Award 2026, dedicated to honouring extraordinary women multitaskers of our society who inspire countless others through their work, dedication and contribution.
Team Abhaya is a women-centric initiative of Bangalore Sports Lovers Association (BSLA), a registered Non-Profit Organisation committed to women empowerment, social welfare and creating a safer society for women and children.
The Abhaya Dasabhuja Award Ceremony 2026 will be held on Sunday, 11 October 2026, from 3:00 p.m. onwards at the Alliance Française de Bangalore Auditorium, Vasanth Nagar, Bengaluru.
The ceremony will bring together distinguished guests, social workers, professionals, activists, entrepreneurs and other eminent personalities who have contributed to society in their respective fields.
Among the prominent guests expected to grace the occasion are Minister Arsad Rizwan, State Women Congress President Sowmya Reddy, Mrs World India 2025–26 Ms. Rinima Borah, renowned educationist and author Mrs. Shobha Nayar Pandit, and strategist and entrepreneur Mr. Paul Koshy, along with other distinguished dignitaries.
A Dedication to Rescued Children
This year’s Abhaya Dasabhuja Award Ceremony will be dedicated to children rescued from trafficking through the collective efforts of NGOs, government agencies and other organisations working tirelessly for their safety, rehabilitation and future.

Face of Abhaya
Mrs. Saramma Mathew, a renowned activist and media professional, has been selected as the Face of Abhaya, in recognition of her association with social causes and her commitment to creating awareness in society.
Interview & Selection Process
The interview process for selecting the awardees was successfully conducted by Mrs. Niveditha Muddappa, an accomplished artist and art therapist who is also actively associated with various social initiatives.

The Abhaya initiative has received encouraging support from several corporates and individuals who believe in the cause of women empowerment and social welfare.
