Siddaramaiah, a key figure in the Ahinda movement advocating for minorities, backward classes, and Dalits, received staunch support from Ahinda State President Prabhulinga Doddamani. “We stand unwaveringly behind CM Siddaramaiah,” Doddamani affirmed, warning against any attempt to remove him from power, which he cautioned could destabilize the Congress party.

DK Shivakumar, a prominent leader of the Vokkaliga community, which constitutes 15% of Karnataka’s population, stands in opposition to Siddaramaiah, an OBC leader from the Kuruba community.

The seer’s demand has ignited a power struggle within the Karnataka Congress. Siddaramaiah deferred to the party high command regarding leadership decisions, while Shivakumar urged party members to avoid such discussions. The BJP criticized the Congress, alleging internal governance issues amidst the unfolding political drama.
