Airport staff to be considered frontline workers for priority Covid-19 vaccination

Bengaluru: All airport staff across the state will be considered frontline workers of Covid-19 and can avail vaccination on a priority basis, the Karnataka Government has said.

A circular in this regard was issued bu the Commissioner Health and Family Welfare Service on Friday, directing the officers of the respective district Health and Family Welfare to make the necessary arrangements for the same.

The officers have been directed to make sure that the airport staffers receive the Covid-19 vaccine in accordance with the existing protocols and the Kempegowda International Airport (Bengaluru), Mangaluru International Airport, Belagavi airport, Hubbali -Dharwad airport, Kalaburagi airport, Mysuru airport and Bidar airport authorities have also been informed about the change.
