Bengaluru: Amid Covid-19 crisis, the state government released Rs.150 crores to the MLAs Local Area Development fund.
The state government was under immense pressure to release the amount as all the developmental works at the local levels have been stalled due to the Covid 19 crisis.
According to the sources, the money was released by the finance department following an order from Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa.
According to the authorities, this amount will be utilised to complete the various pending works of the previous years.
New plans can be taken up only after the completion of pending works.
This decision comes as a big relief to the MLAs who were facing the wrath of the voters due to stalled developmental works.
