Bengaluru: JD (S) leader and former Chief Minister H. D. Kumaraswamy sought strict action and the immediate arrest of Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramod Muthalik for his drive against loudspeakers in mosques.
Speaking to mediapersons on Monday May 9 he said, “If the government fails to take action against such people as Muthalik, they will destroy the harmony and peace of our State. The government should not entertain such people and should take action before the issue goes out of hand.”
He further said that according to the Supreme Court order, the government should permit loudspeakers. “I think that playing the Hanuman Chalisa over loudspeakers will not help save Hindutva. I recite Hanuman Chalisa every day at home and whenever I have health or other problems.
