Ayodhya verdict: Dry day announced across state, section 144 enforced

Bengaluru: The state police made elaborate arrangements to maintain law and order after the Supreme Court announced its verdict on the Ayodhya title dispute. As per the decision, prohibitory orders under section 144 have been enforced across the state till Sunday 6 AM.

Additional police forces have been deployed to all the district headquarters and a special team has been formed in each district to monitor the situation and take decisions.

Meanwhile, even the sale of liquor has been banned in the state. On Saturday, no bar and restaurant will be opened.

Disruption in KSRTC service

The KSRTC is likely to withdraw its services after 10 AM on Saturday. Only selected routes will remain in operation keeping in mind the safety of the passengers.

Examinations postponed

The Kuvempu University has postponed all examinations that were scheduled to be held on Saturday.

In Kodagu, however, there have been no changes in the degree examination schedule.
