Bengaluru: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has requested two more days to submit the delimitation report to the Department of Urban Development (UDD). The final draft of the report is available, but the civic body wanted Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to review it before submitting it to the State Government.

While the delimitation committee, led by BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Girinath, had completed the report a week ago, Bommai, who is also Bengaluru Development Minister, was in Davos for the World Economic Forum for five days last week. Senior officials, on the other hand, claim that the report has not been presented because of printing issues.

According to the revised delimitation report, Assembly constituencies like Mahadevapura, Bommanahalli, RR Nagar, and Yeshwantpur are likely to get a maximum of 14 wards.

The Assembly segments, which are located in the heart of Bengaluru, may retain or lose wards. Up to 11 wards could be added to the Dasarahalli constituency.
