Bengaluru: Union Minister for Railways and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw has said that steps have been taken to provide 5G services in all major cities of the country by next Diwali.
Speaking at a mediapersons at a private hotel in Bengaluru, he said the Digital India Act will be implemented soon. “Considering the current situation, it is proposed to frame new rules and regulations. The new Digital Personal Data Protection Bill, 2022 has received a good response from the people, he said.
He added, “Software giants such as Mohandas Pai, Nandan Nilekani and Kris Gopalakrishnan reacting positively, the confidence has increased. We have invited objections to the draft of Indian Telecommunications Bill, 2022,” he said.
“The country’s first hydrogen train will run by December 2023. Arrangements are underway for the hydrogen train movement. In addition, the construction of bullet train coaches has also picked up pace. The first bullet train will run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad soon. So far, 116 kms of the bullet track has been constructed and the speed of the bullet train is 320 kmph, he informed.
