Bengaluru: It seems, there is no end to the controversies surrounding Higher Education Minister C. N. Ashwath Narayan. On Tuesday November 29 he called all the leaders who crossed 75 years to take retirement from politics. Now, Congress questioned whether PM Narendra Modi will take retirement after 75 years.

Speaking at an event, Ashwathnarayan stated that both AICC leader Mallikharjun Kharge, and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah crossed 75 years of age. They must take retirement and make way for the young leaders.

“All must retire from politics after crossing 75 years,” he said.

Congress hit back questioning whether Minister’s word applies to PM Modi who will turn 75 years soon and former CM B. S. Yediyurappa. “He has not attacked the Congress leadership. But his statement is against B. S. Yediyurappa,” said a Congress leader.
