Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that there is no question of any disparity in the removal of encroachments.

Speaking to mediapersons in Vidhana Soudha here on Monday September 12, he said eviction notices have been served on those who have built the building or house on Rajakaluve, causing problems in the free flow of water in the kaluve. Closed Rajakaluve has been affecting the rain water to flow in drain, and thus it is necessary to clear them, he said.

CM said that the recent floods had affected not only IT/BT companies and workers but also the common people. Houses in low-lying areas too have faced problems. The work on removal of all encroachments will be completed, he asserted.

Replying to a question, Bommai said that the Government has sought directions from courts in many cases. The courts will be seriously appraised of the situation. Several directions have been issued by courts in connection with flood related cases in the past. This time, the encroachments will be removed on a big scale, he added.

About the release of a video in which a BJP MLA has spoken about the PSI recruitment scam, the CM said he did not know whether it is an audio or video and it will be examined. Probe will be ordered in case of finding any wrongdoing, he noted.
