Following arguments from the counsels and the State Public Prosecutor, who was speaking on behalf of CID and strongly opposed to the granting of bail, judgement was reserved on Wednesday. Seven accused, including four selected candidates, two middlemen, and a police Sub-Inspector, filed the petitions.

HU Raghuveer of Magadi Taluk in Ramanagara District, R. Sharath Kumar of Nagamangala in Mandya District, C. K. Dileep Kumar of Kengeri, H. R. Praveen Kumar of Channapatna Taluk in Ramanagara District, and K. Surinarayana of Giddenahalli in the city were the petitioners. Sub-Inspector of Byadarahalli Police Station Naveen Prasad filed the anticipatory bail petition.
