Bengaluru: Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Chief has instructed officials on the night of Tuesday July 26 to clear footpath encroachment by street vendors in Coffee Board Layout and if they failed to do so, officers will face action.
Girinath was in the Yelahanka Zone, where locals had complained about BBMP officials for delaying the issue of khata for their houses. He promised that the deadline for the issue will be fixed. The footpaths on main roads have been invaded by several street vendors. Residents of Jakkur Layout have also voiced complaints about the area’s roads and potholes, and Girinath has ordered the officials to repair the holes within a week.
Garbage truck drivers voiced their displeasure with the delay in salaries. Officers should clear their payments, said BBMP Chief.
