Bengaluru: The Lokayukta police on Tuesday January 3 arrested Pattanashetty, the BBMP’s Assistant Director of Town Planning, Krishna, First Division Assistant and Ravi, a private agent, for taking a bribe to reduce the fee to be paid for issuing the complainant’s occupancy certificate.
A statement claims that the accused have asked to reduce the fee of Rs. 26 lakh required to issue an occupancy certificate to T Padmavathi’s commercial complex at HSR Layout.
Finally, they reduced Rs 3 lakh, and on December 1, 2022, Pattanashetty and Krishna allegedly received Rs. 96,500. On Tuesday, they were caught as they were paying Ravi Rs. 2,03,500. An investigation is underway and all three suspects have been arrested.
