Bengaluru: The Main Arterial Road (MAR) must be finished by March 2023, and all layout-related work must be completed by December 2023, said Bangalore Development Authority Commissioner G. Kumar Naik. He has set two dates for this work, December 2023 and March 2023.
Naik conducted an inspection visit to two main projects run by the authority, the Kommaghatta Housing project and the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Layout. His officials were taken by surprise when he arrived at the Layout at 9.20 am.
On 2,252 acres, 26,500 sites will be developed during the layout’s first phase. The land acquisition for the 10.57 km long MAR, which will connect Mysuru Road and Magadi Road through the layout, was completed recently.
The commissioner directed BDA engineers to speed up the work and complete the MAR by March 31. He also insisted that the plan with the necessary infrastructure for water and sewage be completed by the end of December.
Three of the ten sewage treatment plants that were being built there were visited by the Commissioner. Later, Naik visited the BDA’s Kommaghatta Housing project.
