Bengaluru: Former Minister A. H. Vishwanath, who helped to BJP to form government in Karnataka in 2019 by quitting JD (S) and joining the party fold is likely to return to Congress.
Before joining JD (S) he was in Congress.
According to sources, Vishwanath met AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi and sought his permission to rejoin the party.
According to sources, Kharge responded positively and stated that he leaves the final decision to KPCC.
His son Purvaj Vishwanath is already working in Congress and close to former CM Siddaramaiah.
