Bengaluru: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested B. K. Nagarajappa, the Karnataka Bovi Development Board’s Executive Director, on charges of criminal activities, including the misuse of funds.
A press release stated that, “Preliminary investigation revealed the accused misused Rs. 75 lakh of the board by diverting the money to fake beneficiaries. Also, there is a case of disproportionate assets against him as well as other criminal cases.”
The ACB conducted five raids in May at places linked to close associates of Nagarajappa.
The subsequent raids were carried out after several complaints of corruption at the office.
