Bengaluru: The State has topped the list of states that prioritise ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and has bagged a gold medal in the SKOCH Award.

“Karnataka Udyog Mitra, which implemented the Affidavit Based Clearance had emerged as a ‘Top Achiever’ in the Ease of Doing Business rankings. It is a matter of pride for us as we have won gold now in the SKOTCH Awards, for the implementation of Centralised Inspection System (CIS) for industries,” said Minister of Large and Medium Industries Murugesh R. Nirani.

“The Department of Commerce and Industries has implemented CIS for transparent inspection and to avoid the unnecessary delay caused by separate inspection visits by different departments for monitoring compliance with the rules of operation of the industries,” he added.
