Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to party leaders who are claiming credit for the 10-lane-Bengaluru-Mysuru National Highway, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai lodged complaint against the road structure, and the design with Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari.
According to the sources, CM Bommai expressed his displeasure over the poor design of this road which he warned may cause problems for the vehicle movements in the extreme weather conditions.
He requested Gadkari to send experts’ team and redesign the road works. This means, all likely that the road will not be inaugurated for Dasara.
It can be recalled here that last week, the vehicle movement on the stretch of this road was banned following flood water overflowing and poor condition.
