Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai informed the Assembly on Tuesday September 13 that in areas where the survey is completed, compensation for crop loss will be given in two days.
Opposition leader Siddaramaiah claimed that not a single rupee had been paid as crop loss compensation for this year.
This year, there has been no sowing on the 11 lakh hectares. Farmers are facing heavy losses, he said. “Since it has been raining, we were unable to conduct surveys in several places. In some locations, surveys have been completed. Within two days, we will release compensation,” he added.
