Bengaluru: Covid spike, Government hospitals told to reserve beds

Bengaluru: The Covid – 19 cases are on the rise in the City and now the State Health Department has directed two Government hospitals to reserve beds for Covid patients. The number of beds should be 50 in the least.

The Government circular has instructed CV Raman General Hospital, Indiranagar, and Atal Bihar Vajpayee Medical College Hospital, Shivajinagar to reserve beds comprising general, oxygenated and ventilator beds. The risk of death among vulnerable groups will reduced if hospitalised, added the circular.

The two hospitals have also been asked to alert on compliance by Tuesday August 16.
