Bengaluru: Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B. Chauhan said that cow farms will be developed on Maharashtra Model in the State.
He had recently visited a biodiversity cattle farm in Nashik District of Maharashtra. He was full of appreciation for the cattle rearing, and fodder production he witnessed there. He said that at the cattle farm, a check dam was built and thus rainwater collected in there is used to grow fodder. If this system is adopted in the State too, the water will not be wasted,” he observed.
Chavan was of the view that the following steps if implemented will help create a green environment and also aid uninterrupted fodder production.
