Bengaluru: The State Government extended the tenure of Dr. C. N. Manjunath, Director of the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research by a year.
His tenure ended on Tuesday July 18. The staff and doctors of the institute were planning a protest on Tuesday demanding extension of his tenure.
As per the government order, his tenure has been extended till July 19, 2023.
With the government extending the tenure, the staff and doctors decided to drop the protest.
