Bengaluru: BJP leader and President of the Yeshwantpur Assembly segment Anil Chalageri is under fire for allegedly insulting the National Flag Code last week during the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on Facebook Live.
The flag was displayed with the saffron stripe below and the green stripe above. One of the leader’s followers advised him to remove the video, but by the time he had the chance, screenshots of the incident had gone viral and a complaint had been filed to Kengeri Police Station.
According to sources, the incident happened on August 9 and that a report was made to Kengeri police on August 10.
The FIR is pending for additional proof from the complainant, informed police.
