Bengaluru: Four held for assaulting shop owner

Bengaluru: Four people, including the proprietor of a tea shop, have been detained by police for attacking bakery staff in Munnekolala over a business dispute.

The arrested accused have been identified as Karthik N.(23), a hotel manager, Manjunath, a tea stall owner, Salman (20), an aluminium worker in Marathahalli and Karthik (20) a delivery executive.

According to sources, the bakery is owned by Naveen Kumar Shetty. The accused stole the staff’s gold chain, mobile phone, and cash while fighting over the bill.

It was found during the investigation that Manjunath had agreed to pay the accused money to threaten his rival.

According to sources, Manjunath has incurred business losses ever since the bakery was launched.

The incident’s CCTV footage went viral, and the Byndoor MLA urged the Home Minister to arrest the culprits.

Bakery owners and pro-Kannada activists protested in front of the police station demanding action.
