Bengaluru: Government approves 61 industrial projects

Bengaluru: The Industries Department on Friday July 29 approved 61 industrial projects worth Rs. 3,829.46 Crore to create over 19,500 jobs. Several business investment requests, including those from Toyota Kirloskar and Micron Technology, were approved.

The projects were approved in a meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Committee (SLSWCC), which was presided over by Industry Minister Murugesh R. Nirani. During the meeting, over 13 important large and medium-sized industrial projects worth a total of more than Rs. 50 Crore were approved by the committee. Over 16,158 jobs are expected to be created in the state by these projects, which are worth Rs. 2,979.35 Crore.

Up to 42 new projects with investment of more than Rs. 15 Crore and under Rs 50 crore were also approved. Over 3,352 jobs would be created by these initiatives, which are worth Rs. 774.51 Crore. Six projects worth Rs. 75.60 Crore in investment have also been approved.
