Bengaluru: The BJP-led State Government’s ambitious Punyakoti Foster Scheme, which was set up to save the cattle, would receive donations from Government employee salaries. The Government has instructed that from its employees’ salary donations would be deducted. The Government issued the order to reduce salaries after receiving a positive reaction from the State Government Employees’ Association.

The order mandates that employees in the A grade have to pay Rs. 11,000, B grade Rs. 4,000, and C grade Rs. 400 from their November salary. The salary reductions for Government employees might total between Rs. 80 and Rs. 100 Crore.

It is not, however, compulsory for all government employees to donate. People can let the distribution officials know if they don’t want to contribute. The Departments of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary services will receive credit of the entire amount so collected in the form of donations. Before making the announcement, the Government gained permission from all officers and employee of all grades.
