Bengaluru: In order to acquire more knowledge, this panchayat has laid more emphasis on knowledge acquisition by setting up a hi-tech library.
The public and divyang-friendly library has been opened with the objective of providing all basic amenities to provide all kinds of works, novels, literature and competitive books of interest to all sections of the society, from school and college children to the elderly, including women and the specially-abled.
A well-equipped and hi-tech library has been set up at a cost of Rs. 10 lakh especially since the library is digitised with around 6 lakh online e-books and 3,000 books kept, keeping in mind the convenience of the public and children.
The library has been equipped with a ramp and a wheelchair facility for the differently-abled. A computer with Braille script has also been installed for the benefit of blind children.
