Bengaluru: Former Prime Minister and JD (S) supremo H. D. Deve Gowda said that he will continue to make all efforts to strengthen the party and bring it back to power in State. “Kumaraswamy will once again become the Chief Minister of the state and the JD (S) will retake power in the State. Let there be no doubt about it. I still have the energy to fight and will not allow any injustice to the State,” he said.
Addressing a gathering, he said that he will visit each district after he had fully recovered. “We need to save the party. The celebration must be saved. I have only been given four minutes to talk, but I will go into detail. I will also attend the party executive committee meeting.”
Gowda noted that over the past 10 years, Kumaraswamy has worked hard to build up the party, adding that they have treated all communities equally and taken steps to ensure their welfare.
Former CM H. D. Kumaraswamy slammed Congress and BJP, blaming them for Bengaluru’s flooding, the encroachment of lakes and stormwater drains, and the lack of sufficient health, housing, and education systems. He alleged that the national parties were “looting taxpayers’ money” and were not contributing to Bengaluru’s development.
