Bengaluru: KSP to approach colleges to promote Kannada language

Bengaluru: The City District Kannada Sahitya Parishat has taken a new step with good intention to attract college students towards them and has launched a new programme called “Kannada Sahitya Parishattina nadige college kadege (KSP’s Walk Towards Colleges).

There are many objectives behind this programme including creating awareness among college students about Kannada language, Kannada literature, and developing their passion for reading novels. This also includes organising programmes in Kannada for many colleges in the City. There are over 400 colleges in the Capital City. In all these colleges, Bangalore City District KSP aims to launch this programme.

Senior officials of Bangalore City District KSP have informed that their intention is to inculcate interest in Kannada language among the interested college students and conduct lectures on great literature works in Kannada including National Poet Kuvempu, G. S. Shivarudrappa, Da. Ra. Bendre, Shivaram Karanth, Masti Venkatesha Iyengar in respective colleges.

Plans have already been outlined to organise these programmes in colleges. Many interested Government as well as Aided PU and Degree colleges have come forward to hold this programme.
