Bengaluru: With a view to conduct the Assembly Elections in a free and fair manner ahead of the General Elections scheduled to be held in April – May 2023, and to ensure that voters cast their vote fearlessly and without being lured by any inducement, the Government has decided to keep a close watch on the sale and transportation of illicit liquor and lodge a complaint in case of any illegal activity.
In Srirampura, Rajajinagar, Sampangiramanagara, Jayanagar, Ashoknagar and Shanthinagar excise zone areas falling under Bengaluru Urban District – 4, NDPS will be operated. The public can submit information or complaint to the toll free number (free of charge) 1800-425-1245 in case of any manufacture, inventory, sale and transportation or any excise related material found between goods, unauthorised, fake defence etc. Confidentiality of informants will be protected.
