Bengaluru: Lokayukta Police arrests BJP MLA’s son for bribery

Bengaluru: In a big embarrassment to the ruling BJP, Party MLA Madal Virupaksha’s son Prashant has been arrested by the Lokayukta Police and Rs. 40 lakh has been seized from his office.

He was arrested from his private office around 6.45 pm on Thursday March 2. It has been alleged that he was arrested while accepting bribe on behalf of his father MLA Madal Virupaksha.

Madal Virupaksha is a BJP MLA from Chennagiri.

According to the sources, Prashant sought Rs.81 Lakh bribe from a contractor in connection with supplying of chemical to KSDL which is headed by his father.

The Lokayukta Police has continued investigation.
