Bengaluru: Lokayukta seeks transfer of ACB cases

Bengaluru: State Lokayukta Justice B. S. Patil has written to the Chief Secretary of the Government of Karnataka seeking the transfer of all the files related to ACB cases.

Based on the August 11 order of the State High Court quashing the ACB, Lokayukta justice has written this letter.

As many as 2,149 cases are under ACB investigation. After the HC order, ACB stopped functioning.

Meanwhile, the Lokayukta has decided to increase its staff strength to start functioning at full capacity. The officials decided to hire officers of the highest integrity who adhere to the Lokayukta ideals.
