BENGALURU: A tragic incident unfolded in Bengaluru when a 24-year-old lost his life due to what initially seemed like a harmless prank. Allegedly, a friend, identified as Murali, 23, who works at a car service center, found himself in police custody on charges of culpable homicide not amounting to murder.
According to reports, on a Monday, Yogesh R visited a location where his friends were employed for the servicing of his bike. He entrusted them with fixing any issues the vehicle had and requested a wash as well.
During the bike’s drying process, Murali engaged in banter with Yogesh and jokingly directed a blast of air from the compressor towards his face. Responding in jest, Yogesh turned around and bent down. It was then that Murali reportedly directed the air compressor pipe towards Yogesh’s back, specifically targeting his anus.
Tragically, despite the distance between Yogesh and the pipe, the force of the compressed air caused severe internal injuries, leading to unconsciousness and significant bleeding. Yogesh’s condition worsened, and he succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday morning.
