Bengaluru: A 40-year-old man was killed by his brother and wife who were having an illicit affair on the outskirts of the City. He questioned his wife after learning about their relationship, which led to the crime.

Japamale (40) was married to Thagai Mary (32) and worked in the City. He resided in Jyothinagar on Kanakapura Road.

He went to meet Mary on the evening of Wednesday October 26 and saw her with his brother Anthony (37). She tried to intervene but he started a fight and questioned her about Anthony. As the situation worsened and the argument heated up. Mary and Anthony are accused of assaulting Japamale with an iron rod. The suspect washed up the blood spots on the body before hanging it in the cow shed to mislead the authorities into thinking it was a suicide.

According to sources, they wanted to bury the body as quickly as possible. The police were contacted by neighbours who suspected foul play. The officials checked the body and found exterior injuries and then took both suspects in for questioning. The two confessed to killing Japamale during questioning on Thursday as he objected to their illicit relationship.

The duo was arrested. Police in Sathanur have started an investigation.
