Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a man killed a relative who had advised him to take good care of his wife.

The accused has been identified as Bharat. He was arrested for killing his relative Kesavamurthy (32) of Soladevanahalli.

Kesavamurthy, a TT driver, and Bharath, a worker in a garment factory, were relatives. Kesavamurthy was just informed by Bharath’s wife that her husband had been neglecting her. She reportedly also requested him to give Bharath some advice on mending his ways.

On January 13, Keshavamurthy, his friend Mallesh, and Bharat drank liquor in Chikkabanavara. Keshavamurthy gave Bharath advise to take care of his wife on the way home. Enraged by this, Keshavamurthy and his friend Mallesh were both stabbed by Bharath. Both were severely injured and were admitted to the hospital by locals.

Keshavamurthy died on January 14 at a hospital due to injuries.

Bharath was arrested by the Soladevanahalli police after they registered a case against him for attacking and killing his relative.
