Bengaluru: Man sets fire to girlfriend’s bike, flees

Bengaluru: The Halasuru Police are on the lookout for a man who set fire to his girlfriend’s scooter and escaped.

The accused has been identified as Vikram (25), a resident of Halasuru. Vikram had been involved in drug peddling in BTM Layout, Madiwala and Koramangala areas of the City. He had been in love with a young girl for the last three years.

He was recently caught by the police while engaged in drug peddling in Madiwala Police Station limits. He was in jail for eight months and was recently released on bail. After being released, he was searching for those who had informed the police about him. The young woman he was in love with had come under his suspicion. He suspected that the girl he was in love with had informed the police about the drug peddling. A few days ago, the accused, Vikram, came near the girl’s house at night and set fire to his girlfriend’s scooter and fled.
