Bengaluru: The State Government on Wednesday November 30 informed the High Court that it needs more time to hold the Bruhat, Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) elections.

Additional Advocate General Dhyan Chinnappa informed the High Court’s single-judge bench that the Justice Bhaktavatsala Committee had been asked for information regarding the reservation for people of the backward classes.

The Commission has asked for more time to provide the details. Therefore, the same should be given three months. The hearing was adjourned to December 6 by the HC.
