Bengaluru: With BJP State Vice President B. Y. Vijayendra, younger son of Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa declining to contest, BJP is likely to field Mysuru Lok Sabha Member Pratap Simha against Former CM Siddaramaiah from Varuna Constituency.
According to the sources in the BJP, Party National Leaders are considering the proposal of fielding Simha as per the suggestion of RSS Local Leadership.
According to BJP sources, Pratap Simha is considered as the youth face of the party and can swing votes in favour of the Party through his strong Hindutva ideology. “It will be a live contest between Hindutva v/s AHINDA,” explained a BJP Leader.
“Simha is a staunch critic of Siddaramaiah. It will be an interesting fight if both of them contest against each other,” he said.
Congress Leaders welcomed BJP’s proposal saying it will prove who is right in their ideology and who is wrong.
