Bengaluru: Noted painter B. K. S. Varma passed away on Monday February 6 at the age of 74 following a cardiac arrest.

His works of art were recognised worldwide. Bukkasagara Krishnaiah Srinivas (BKS) was once inspired while watching Ravi Varma’s paintings at the Mysore Palace. Thus, Varma’s name was added to his name.

In those days, he used to earn money by using blades, nails, embossing, and thread for painting. It is unique to create beautiful pictures using the fingers of both hands.

He is one of the most prominent artists who painted beautifully in just two minutes.

BKS art was appreciated by legendary Actors Dr. Rajkumar, Rajanikant, internationally renowned artists Dr. Roerich and Devika Rani.
