Bengaluru: In a major administrative overhaul, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Nisha James transferred over 2,616 police personnel on Saturday July 2. With this, around 3,200 personnel have been transferred in the last two months.
As many as 163 PSIs, 112 ASIs, 1,292 Head Constables, and 1,049 constables have been transferred.
The service record and seniority are considered while making transfers.
Nisha James, who is considered one of the finest police officers in the country, did not budge from any pressures while preparing the transfer list. Many personnel who were in the same division for years have been transferred to new divisions.
According to sources, these transfers have been made based on the police transfer manual.
Honest police personnel welcomed the decision by DCP.
