Bengaluru: The Congress party has booked more than 325 buses from the Northwest Karnataka Road Transport Corporation for the Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah’s 75th birthday celebration programme in Davanagere on Sunday, August 7. According to sources, hundreds more buses are expected to be reserved for the anniversary programme on August 3.
Buses were booked from all over the state. As many as 50 were booked in the Bagalakote District, 90 in Haveri, 85 in Gadag, and 90 in the Dharawad District. About Rs. 39 lakh income is anticipated for the organisation through this.
According to sources, a large number of activists from Siddaramaiah’s Badami Assembly constituency are expected to attend the event. Due to the lack of buses, other people are expected to travel to the event in cars like tempo or crusher.
