Bengaluru: The police are on the hunt for people who pasted the “PayCM” posters in the City, informed Police Commissioner C. H. Pratap Reddy.  “The Central Division Police registered cases under the Public Places Disfigurement Act. The cases have been transferred to the City Crime Branch (CCB),” he said.

The Commissioner claimed that he has given orders to all DCPs to look for such posters in their respective divisions and to register cases. The High Grounds police reported a case involving the posters on the morning of Wednesday September 21.

The Sadashivanagar and Seshadripuram police registered cases later in the day. All three police stations come under the Central division and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) concerned is looking into the matter. After receiving complaints, BBMP officials filed the cases.

“We are also looking at hotel CCTV footage where the posters were found,” the Commissioner said.
