Bengaluru: ‘PM will not attend party anniversary celebration’

Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Monday July 25 said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not attend the third anniversary celebrations of the BJP government in the State, which are scheduled to be held on July 28.

Speaking to mediaperson in Delhi he said, “The Prime Minister will not be coming on June 28 because of the Parliament session. Instead, Naddaji, the president of our party, will take part in the celebration of the BJP’s three years in power, one of which was my term. Janutsav is an event that will highlight the administrative and governance initiatives of the government.

Bommai also said that he has no plans to meet with either Prime Minister Modi or Union Home Minister Amit Shah ahead of his return to Bengaluru on July 26.
