Bengaluru: The Puttenahalli police arrested two chain snatchers who were involved in 51 cases and seized items worth Rs 1.5 Crore.
According to the police, a special team arrested the accused Ravi (21) and Santhosh (35), who is from Tamil Nadu, based on CCTV footage. They used to target women at nearby parks and temples while living in a rented house in Arakere.
They had robbed more than 2.5 kg of gold chains so far and sold them in Tamil Nadu. The two BCom graduates were hiding their identity by wearing helmets over their faces. They were working as interior decorators for a private company and were committing crimes to get money as they were addicted to casino gambling.
