Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said that the State Government has taken the death threat to Former Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition in State Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah seriously, and assured him of a thorough enquiry in this regard.

Talking to mediapersons near his residence here on Friday August 19, the CM said he spoke to Siddaramaiah directly and asked him or his staff to give details of the threat calls. “I had also called DG and spoke to him. No one must take law into their hands in this issue but it is happening on both the sides. None must issue statements that will instigate the minds of others.”

“I have given instructions to give a suitable security for the Opposition Party Leader,” he added.
