Bengaluru: All India Congress Committee General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra will join the Bharat Jodo Yatra of her brother Rahul Gandhi in the State.
The Bharat Jodo Yatra will enter the State on September 30. RaGa will walk for 22 days in the State.
According to Karnatama Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar, the dates of Priyanka’s padayatra in the State is yet o be finalised. “Separate events will be organised when she joins the yatra with special focus on gender empowerment initiatives,” he said.
Meanwhile, KPCC unanimously decided to empower the AICC Interim President Sonia Gandhi to pick the new President for the KPCC. Till the new president is appointed, D. K. Shivakumar will continue as the President.
