Bengaluru: In connection with Police Sub-inspector recruitment scam Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested K. R. Puram Traffic Police Sub-Inspector Subramani.
CID officials said that Subramani took money from candidates and transferred it to recruitment wing of police. Their OMR sheets were also forged and one of the accused who was arrested had revealed the name of Subramani then.
After getting to know that CID officials are searching Subramani, he absconded to North India and traveled to various states. Assuming that the probe has cooled down, he returned to Bengaluru and police arrested him.
The CID police have taken Subramani to 10-day custody.
