Bengaluru : A recent incident unfolded in Bengaluru traffic where a man, caught on camera, exhibited a fit of rage towards another driver. The video, circulating on the internet, captures the enraged individual on a two-wheeler aggressively approaching a car, banging on the driver’s window, and ultimately smashing the windshield with a rock before fleeing the scene. Bernard Mascarenhas, who recorded the incident and shared it on Instagram, revealed that the confrontation occurred on November 22 around 8:30 pm near the Horamavu Bridge.

Speaking about the traumatic experience, Mascarenhas claimed that the motorcycle rider started the assault on his vehicle while trying to make a U-turn. The young man, he said, screamed in Kannada, waved his hands threateningly, broke the car glass, and fled quickly. Mascarenhas added clarification in a remark, saying, “He came from the opposite direction and just cut across blindly without indication.” I applied severe braking, and he met my gaze. He then glanced down at the license plate before getting off his scooter and launching into an outburst.

Even though Mascarenhas was live-recording the angry person, he was able to remain composed. However, when the angry man got even more irritated, he broke the windshield of the automobile. Mascarenhas gave an explanation for his choice to remain silent, saying, “I was filming the events and worried about my personal safety, therefore I did not step out of the car or react. I had no idea whether he had anything in his pockets that might have hurt me if I had gone outside.

Subsequently, Mascarenhas noted the motorcyclist’s number plate and promptly filed a First Information Report (FIR) at the police station. As of now, the Bengaluru traffic police have not issued any response to the viral video. Since its posting on November 23, the video has garnered over 169,000 views, accompanied by a plethora of concerned comments.
