Bengaluru Rural: Actor Sudeep has adopted 31 cows in the State. Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu B Chavan suggested that State Ministers and MLAs too should adopt cows.
He was speaking after inaugurating the District-level Government Gaushala at Kodigehalli in Thyamagondlu hobli of Nelamangala Taluk in the DIstrict under the programme of starting a District-level goshala. The Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act has been enacted at the behest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa. With this, more than 30,000 cows have been protected in the State.
Health Minister Dr. K. Sudhakar and MLA Dr. K. Srinivasamurthy should also adopt a cow and join hands with the project. He said the Chief Minister has released Rs. 13 Crore for quick action for the control and prevention of Lumpy Skin Disease.
